Job summary

The New York Foundling is seeking an RN leader to provide clinical leadership within the Developmental Disabilities Division. You will supervise nursing staff, ensure high-quality health services, and uphold regulatory standards to support individuals’ goals and well‑being.

Responsibilities include audits, care planning collaboration, medication reviews, and active participation in interdisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes and documentation integrity.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Current New York State RN License in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in developmental disabilities, residential, or community-based settings (OPWDD exp. preferred).
  • BLS certificate.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare or human services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff, promote clinical competence, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Ensure OPWDD regulations and NYF policies with audits and corrective action plans.
  • Manage medical interventions to improve health outcomes and review health trends.
  • Ensure timely, accurate health documentation and audit health records for regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee health service records and improve accessibility and integrity of health information.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and review person-centered care plans.
  • Provide medical input to oversight committees (ICC, HRC, IRC) to support safe care practices.
  • Lead ongoing medication reviews with prescribers and pharmacy services.
