Job summary

The New York Foundling seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, person-centered medical care within the Developmental Disabilities Division in New York. The RN will assess health, plan care, coordinate medical services, and supervise staff to ensure safety and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • 1+ years of nursing experience.
  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities in residential or community settings is preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and develop targeted care plans.
  • Conduct health assessments and nursing reviews; administer medications.
  • Coordinate with physicians and families to align care.
  • Provide telephone triage and health consultations.
  • Work with the care team to reduce avoidable hospitalizations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Train and oversee unlicensed staff in medication administration and health monitoring.
