Job summary

Highland Hospital is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to organize and maintain the master nursing schedule, covering core shifts, overtime, and training across units. You will communicate schedules to staff, monitor census and acuity, and collaborate with leadership to resolve staffing gaps.

The role requires scheduling accuracy, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel and scheduling platforms.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred in Office Management, Health Care Administration or related field.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains the master staffing schedule for Nursing Service.
• Monitors census and staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for each shift.
• Communicates schedules and changes to staff and coordinates training times.
• Schedules core shifts, overtime, and agency staffing to cover vacancies.
• Gathers and files staffing reports and coordinates with DON, CNO, and HR on staffing concerns.
