Job summary

iCare Health Network is seeking a Nursing Staff Scheduler to oversee nursing scheduling using our scheduling software, calling employees to fill vacancies, and maintaining staffing levels within budget.

The role requires experience with scheduling systems, strong organizational skills, and proficient use of Word, Outlook and Excel. You will work in a collaborative, multicultural healthcare environment in Vermont.

Qualifications

• Experience with nursing/healthcare scheduling systems.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across shifts.
• Highly organized, energetic, and motivated.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Process approved days off and leaves.
• Maintain staffing levels on all shifts within budget.
• Follow directives to monitor and reduce overtime.
• Create and maintain nursing schedules for all units.
• Audit schedules weekly and coordinate nursing replacements.
• Maintain attendance records and address violations.
• Arrange substitute or pool staff when needed.
• Coordinate with staffing agencies and orientation of agency staff.
• Process agency invoices and liaise with Accounts Payable.
• Print daily punch edits and discrepancy forms.
