Jobot is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for a long-term care facility in Clarinda, IA. This role partners with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily operations, lead RNs/LPNs/CNAs, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a compassionate resident-centered environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license and has prior supervisory nursing experience in skilled nursing or long-term care, with strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Active RN license or ability to obtain.
• Previous nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing/long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of clinical standards and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services and daily clinical operations.
• Lead and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs and other nursing staff.
• Ensure timely, high-quality resident care and accurate clinical documentation.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and appropriate nursing coverage.
• Promote adherence to facility policies and regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy, social services and the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate care needs with residents and families; resolve issues.
