Job summary

Apploi seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in the Des Moines area to supervise nursing staff under the Administrator's direction, ensuring high-quality resident care. The ADON will support the DON in planning, organizing, developing and directing nursing operations.

The role requires an active RN license, supervisory experience in long-term care, and strong leadership and teaching abilities across all shifts, with adherence to laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in good standing.
• Supervisory experience in a long-term care setting.
• Strong leadership and be able to lead a team of nursing staff.
• Ability to teach and lead by example on all shifts.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
• Ability to implement and interpret department goals and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, organizing, developing, and directing nursing operations.
• Exercise administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel.
• Liaise with residents, families, and support departments to plan resident needs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and quality resident care standards.
• Follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures.
