Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for a long-term care facility. The role collaborates with the Director of Nursing to supervise nursing operations, support clinical staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a positive environment for residents and employees.

Requirements include an active RN license and previous nursing leadership experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required or ability to obtain.
• Experience supervising or leading nursing staff preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations with the Director of Nursing.
• Lead and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs and other nursing staff.
• Ensure timely, high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor care plans, documentation, and changes in resident condition.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling and nursing coverage.
• Participate in hiring, orientation and staff development.
• Promote adherence to policies and long-term care regulations.
• Support quality assurance and infection prevention initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate care needs with residents and families.
• Investigate and resolve clinical issues; provide leadership as needed.
