Care Initiatives is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to lead nursing operations across our communities. You will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the department while ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

The role requires an active Iowa RN license, CPR certification, and a commitment to growth within a compassionate team. You will participate in on-call rotations and contribute to staff development and policy enforcement.

Qualifications

• RN leadership and supervision experience.
• Knowledge of federal/state long-term care regulations.
• Strong communication and empathy for residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department.
• Conduct rounds to monitor care delivery and propose solutions.
• Enforce policies and guide the team for growth.
• Coach RNs to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Manage administrative functions to improve efficiency.
• Communicate care needs with residents and families.
• Document care to meet standards.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
