Job summary

Jersey College seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students across classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings.

The ideal candidate will hold an MSN or higher, maintain an active RN license, and bring 3+ years of RN experience with a strong commitment to student success and professional development in nursing education.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Experience with clinical evaluation and competency-based education.
• Experience using learning management systems and educational technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver effective instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Provide students with appropriate guidance, feedback, and support to promote successful learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge and expertise within the nursing specialty and clinical practice environment.
