Job summary

Jersey College is seeking a Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction for LPN/PN and RN students. The instructor fosters a positive learning environment, evaluates competencies, and guides students toward professional nursing practice.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, maintains an RN license, and brings at least 3 years of RN experience with a commitment to student success and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Experience with clinical evaluation and competency-based education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports; maintain attendance records.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, clinical partners, and other members of the academic community.
