Job summary

Unitek Learning invites experienced nurses to join its Nursing Instructor team. This role combines classroom teaching with hands-on clinical supervision, and requires visiting clinical sites to deliver instruction, assess student performance, and ensure compliance with program standards.

You will review and revise syllabi, maintain accurate student records, stay current with nursing practice and safety regulations, and participate in professional development and committees as needed.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where teaching will occur.
• BSN or higher nursing degree per state requirements.
• Meet faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
• Experience mentoring students in classroom, lab and clinical settings; strong verbal and written communications.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Improve instruction quality by reviewing and using innovative teaching methods.
• Utilize online activities to enhance course content during teaching.
• Review and revise syllabus for specific courses per guidelines.
• Submit required program reports to the Director on time.
• Stay current with new technologies and safety regulations.
• Maintain student records and assist with program data collection.
• Manage clinical requirements and immunization records for students.
• Teach courses across various times/locations; deliver both lectures and clinical rotations (days/evenings/weekends).
• Participate in professional development and committees as assigned.
