Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks an experienced RN instructor to teach nursing courses and supervise clinical experiences at its Utah-based programs. You will mentor students, plan orientation for new faculty, and apply adult-learning principles across theory and clinical settings.

Responsibilities include evaluating student performance, maintaining records, and collaborating on instructional initiatives while staying current with safety standards and technology in healthcare education.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state you are applying to teach.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; BSN required.
• MSN preferred or must enroll in a MSN program within 5 years of start; ATI certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with instructors in preparing, administering, and grading examinations; participates in final evaluations.
• Keeps attendance and grades; submits records.
• Assists with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives.
• Plans orientation of new faculty for theory and clinical facilities.
• Utilizes adult learning principles in teaching.
• Aims to continuously improve instruction quality.
• Develops online activities to enhance content and learning.
• Maintains student attendance and skills check-off records; assists with data collection.
• Submits program reports to the Director in a timely manner.
• Keeps current with new technologies and safety regulations.
• Participates in committee activities and faculty meetings.
• Plans and supervises student clinical experiences; evaluates outcomes.
• Provides timely feedback after observations.
• Maintains student records; assists with data collection.
• Ensures clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Observes, instructs, and evaluates using appropriate methods.
• Verifies clinical facilities meet health and safety requirements.
• Provides access for ongoing communication with students.
• Participates in student advising activities
