Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a qualified nursing faculty member to join our team. You will collaborate with instructors to prepare, administer, and grade exams, maintain student records, and supervise clinical experiences in affiliated facilities.

The role requires a Master of Nursing or higher with coursework in nursing or education and an active RN license. Four years of direct patient care and recent clinical experience are expected, with opportunities for faculty development and career growth.

Qualifications

• No Previous Teaching experience is required; Faculty Development training will help you succeed in a classroom setting.
• Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Master of Nursing or higher with coursework in nursing or education, administration, OB, Pediatrics or Psychiatry.
• At least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Clinical experience within the last five years; clinical teaching applies toward direct patient care.
• Expertise in one or more nursing areas (Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, OB-Gyn, Mental Health).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other instructors in preparing, administering, and grading examinations.
• Responsible for assuring class attendance and grades are kept and submitted.
• Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure quality of program.
• Plan and implement orientation of new faculty in theory and clinical facilities for courses.
• Utilize adult learning principles in teaching.
• Maintain student records of attendance and skills check-off forms.
• Submit program reports to the Director in a timely manner.
• Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations.
• Participate in faculty meetings and supervise student clinical experiences.
