Job summary

Qualifications

• Active California RN or LVN license required.
• Two years nursing experience (RN/LVN).
• One year experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.
• CE hours in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing education within six months of employment; approved by BRN or accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans to correlate with course outline.
• Apply teaching strategies when delivering lessons.
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment in classroom and clinical lab.
• Maintain classroom and clinical discipline.
• Adhere to training site standards and CDPH/22 CCR requirements.
• Participate in staff in-services and advisory meetings.
• Provide student assessments and ensure prerequisites for clinical placement are met.
• Document incidents and maintain student files for four years.
• Record attendance, manage absences, and coordinate make-up sessions.
• Provide supervised clinical training in a CDPH‑approved facility (ratio ≤ 15:1).
• Maintain up-to-date records using CDPH forms.

Education

Active RN or LVN license in California

Two (2) years of nursing experience (RN, LVN)

One (1) year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing

Twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing
