Job summary

Prosperity Training Center in Fresno and surrounding areas seeks an LVN Instructor (DSD) to deliver Nurse Assistant Training (NATAP) per CDPH and HSC requirements. The role includes 60 hours of theory and 100 hours of supervised clinical training, with sessions scheduled between 6:00 a.m.

and 8:00 p.m., under supervision of the NATP RN/PD and administrator. The instructor will use CA-approved curriculum, prepare lesson plans, supervise students, maintain records, and ensure compliance with state

Qualifications

• Active RN or LVN license in California.
• Two years of nursing experience (RN or LVN).
• One year planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.
• Twenty-four hours continuing education in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing (Board-approved).

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans aligned with course outline.
• Apply teaching strategies when delivering lessons.
• Maintain a safe learning environment in classroom and clinical lab.
• Maintain classroom and clinical discipline.
• Maintain records and complete documentation using CDPH forms.
• Provide student assessments as needed.
• Ensure students meet requirements before clinical placement.
• Report incidents to NATP Administrator, RN/PD, and facility administrators.
• Maintain student files for 4 years and manage attendance and make-up dates.
• Provide supervised clinical training with a 15:1 student-to-instructor ratio.
