Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Fresno, CA seeks an LVN Instructor to deliver Nurse Assistant Training (NAT) under CDPH/DHHS guidelines. The role includes preparing lesson plans, supervising 60 hours of theory and 100 hours of clinical training, and ensuring compliance with 22 CCR and HSC requirements.

The instructor will teach adult learners, maintain records, monitor attendance, and coordinate with NATP RN/PD and facility staff.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LVN license in California.
• Two years nursing experience (RN, LVN).
• One year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.
• Twenty-four hours of continuing education in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing completed within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans to correlate with course outline.
• Understand and apply teaching strategies when implementing lesson plans.
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment in classroom and clinical lab.
• Maintain discipline in classroom and clinical settings.
• Maintain records and complete documentation using CDPH approved forms.
