Qualifications

• Resume with verifiable work history including months/years and supervisor contacts.
• Active RN or LVN license in California.
• Two years of nursing experience; one in chronic illness or elderly care.
• One year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing education.
• Or 24 hours CE in nursing education approved by BRN.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans aligned with course outline.
• Teach using effective instructional strategies.
• Maintain safe learning environments for classroom and clinical labs.
• Maintain discipline in classroom and clinical settings.
• Recordkeeping using CDPH forms; maintain student files for 4 years.
• Administer attendance, absences, and make-up dates.
• Provide supervised clinical training in a CDPH-approved facility; 15:1 ratio.
• Coordinate staff in-services and advisory meetings.
• Report incidents to NATP Administrator and facility.
• Demonstrate professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
