Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN or LVN license in California.
• Two years of nursing experience (RN, LVN).
• One year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.
• Twenty-four hours of continuing education in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans to correlate with course outline.
• Understand and apply teaching strategies when implementing lesson plans.
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment in classroom and clinical lab.
• Maintain classroom and clinical discipline.
• Adhere to training site standards.
• Participate in staff in-services and advisory meetings.
• Provide student assessments as necessary.
• Ensure students meet all requirements prior to clinical placement.
• Report incidents to NATP Administrator, RN/PD, and facility Administration.
• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation using approved forms.
• Complete daily attendance, manage absences, and schedule make-up dates.
