Qualifications

• Active RN or LVN license in California.
• Two years of nursing experience (RN, LVN).
• One year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.
• Twenty-four hours of continuing education in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing completed within six months of employment and approved by the Board of Registered Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans to correspond with course outlines.
• Apply teaching strategies when implementing lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe learning environment in classroom and clinical labs.
• Maintain classroom and clinical discipline.
• Adhere to training site standards and CDPH forms.
• Provide student assessments and verify completion of requirements.
• Document student records and course attendance accurately.
• Coordinate clinical placements and student supervision within 15:1 student-to-clinical ratio.
• Report incidents to NATP Administrator, RN/PD, and facility administration.
• Participate in staff in-services and advisory meetings.
