Job summary

McCormick's Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Assistant Administrator to help direct day-to-day facility operations in accordance with federal and local standards. You will support department directors, ensure adherence to policies, and help manage staff and residents with a focus on quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration or health related degree is preferred.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active Nursing Home Administrator license.
• 2 years experience in a Supervisor role, healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing facility administration.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be able to read and interpret financial records, reports, etc.
• Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc., to personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s programs and activities.
• Assist department directors in the development, use, and implementation of departmental policies and procedures and professional standards of practice.
• Ensure that all employees, residents, visitors, and the general public follow the facility’s established policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily meetings with appropriate staff during facility inspections to discuss survey findings and plans of action.
• Assist in developing plans of correction for cited deficiencies with timetables and monitoring methods.
• Review and check workforce competence and make necessary adjustments.
• Assist in recruitment and selection of department directors, supervisors, and staff.
• Counsel/discipline personnel as requested or as needed.
• Consult with department directors to improve services and operations.
• Organize in-service training and orientation programs for staff.
• Create a warm, positive atmosphere and calm environment.
