Job summary

Mccormick is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities. The RN will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and report to the Director of Nursing to maintain the highest quality of care.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required; provide leadership on the unit/shift.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians and transcribe orders.
• Complete required charts and maintain resident records with clear notes and reports.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure privacy of resident care information and staff communications.
