Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required and maintain good standing in nursing program.
• Active enrollment in an accredited nursing program with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Completion of foundational nursing coursework as defined by the program.
• Demonstrated ability to participate safely in supervised clinical practice and competency validation.

Responsibilities

• Supports ADLs: bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing with dignity and safety.
• Assists with mobility and hygiene under RN direction and using assistive devices.
• Records routine clinical measurements and reports abnormalities to the RN.
• Supports nutrition and hydration, meal setup, and monitoring diet tolerance.
• Maintains clean and safe patient environment per infection prevention standards.
• Communicates changes in patient condition promptly to the RN to aid clinical decisions.
• Reinforces patient and family education, prepares patients for tests or procedures as directed by RN.
• Performs clerical tasks and basic EMR data entry as needed on unit.
• Manages patient-care supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and cleanliness.
• Performs competency-validated skills such as EKGs, venipuncture, and specimen collection under RN supervision.
