Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program and maintain good academic standing.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum GPA 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Must have completed foundational nursing coursework and be eligible for supervised clinical practice.
• No additional certifications beyond enrollment are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) with dignity and safety.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices under RN direction.
• Record routine clinical measurements and report abnormalities to the RN.
• Support nutrition and hydration and monitor diet tolerance.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and a safe patient environment.
• Observe changes in patient condition and report to RN promptly.
• Reinforce patient and family education and orientation.
• Provide clerical support and EMR data entry.
• Manage patient-care supplies and equipment.
• Perform competency-validated skills under RN supervision (e.g., ECG, venipuncture, specimen collection).
