Job summary

You will perform delegated tasks, participate in basic clinical activities after competency validation, assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, and help with documentation and patient flow as directed by the RN.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited nursing program and in good academic standing.
• Completion of foundational nursing coursework and related competencies.
• Pass required orientation, training, and RN-supported instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) while maintaining dignity and safety.
• Assists with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices as directed by RN.
• Records vital signs, height, weight, and intake/output; reports abnormalities.
• Supports nutrition and hydration; assists with meal setup and diet tolerance.
• Maintains clean, safe patient environment following infection control standards.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition to RN promptly.
• Reinforces patient and family education and orientation on safety and routines.
• Performs clerical tasks, EMR data entry, supply retrieval, and communication flow.
• Manages patient-care supplies and equipment; ensures readiness and cleanliness.
• Performs competency-validated skills under RN supervision (e.g., 12-lead ECG, venipuncture).
