Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. Depending on campus needs, instructors may teach in classroom, lab, simulation, or clinical settings.

The ideal candidate is an RN with an MSN or higher, with a strong commitment to student success, excellent communication, and the ability to supervise and evaluate students in clinical environments.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree is required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses being taught.
• Demonstrated knowledge in a nursing specialty that supports student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment and evaluate student performance and competency.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports; maintain attendance records.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, clinical partners, and other members of the academic community.
• Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education and in-service training.
