Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St Vincent Regional Hospital seeks an onsite Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to guide caregivers in orientation and ongoing learning, applying adult learning principles and standardized tools. The role travels as needed to fulfill responsibilities and advance nursing education.

The position emphasizes leading interprofessional learning, coaching caregivers and preceptors, and promoting evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes within the PDPE

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited institution (degree verification required).
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors.
• Promote self-reliance, teamwork, and ongoing learning through orientation and education.
• Collaborate to identify goals and learning needs and apply evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practice.
• Foster inquiry and sharing of new knowledge to improve patient care.
• Advocate for the NPD specialty within the organization and support professional development.
• Coordinate smooth transitions for new and existing caregivers and implement new practices.
