Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Clinical Professional Development Specialist to advance the Birthing & Mother Infant Unit through education, orientation, and competency programs. The role exercises leadership in education and coordinates practice standards with the nursing division.

Preferred candidates hold a BSN; MSN is strongly preferred, with 3–5 years of related nursing experience and AWHONN fetal monitoring credentials. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• BSN in Nursing required; MSN strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive nursing experience in designated clinical services.
• RN license; relevant certifications may be required (BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate educational programs for the nursing division.
• Develop onboarding/orientation and competency management.
• Lead evidence-based practice initiatives and translate research into practice.
• Mentor staff and collaborate with inter-professional teams.
• Align educational activities with regulatory and accreditation standards.
