Job summary

South Shore Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Clinical Professional Development Specialist to lead and educate the nursing division within the Birthing & Mother Infant Unit. The role supports onboarding, competency tracking, and evidence-based practice to advance clinical expertise.

Preferred qualifications include MSN, BSN, obstetric unit experience, and AWHONN fetal monitoring instructor credentials. Relocation assistance is available to support the right candidate.

Qualifications

Minimum BSN in Nursing required; MSN preferred.
Three to five years of progressively responsible nursing experience.
Licenses: RN with required certifications (BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC).
Master’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred for educators.

Responsibilities

Education: assess needs, develop and coordinate education programs for the nursing division.
Onboarding/orientation: create competency-based orientation for nursing roles.
Competency management: develop a framework and update as needed.
Clinical inquiry/EBP: translate research into practice and mentor staff.
Leadership: lead educational programming and participate in quality improvement.
