Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Clinical Professional Development Specialist to lead education for the Birthing & Mother Infant Unit, oversee onboarding and competency programs, and advance evidence-based practice. The role focuses on nursing education leadership, mentorship, and improving patient care through expert guidance and collaborative care across the nursing division.

Ideal candidates have BSN, MSN preferred, and experience with transition to practice programs, with AWHONN fetal

Qualifications

BSN in Nursing required; MSN strongly preferred.
MSN in Nursing or related field encouraged for education leadership.
Licenses/registrations as RN with required certifications (varies by division).
Instructors or certifications such as AHA BLS/ACLS may be required for certain divisions.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate educational programs for the Birthing & Mother Infant Unit Nursing staff.
Oversee onboarding, orientation, and competency management.
Promote evidence-based practice and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Mentor staff and collaborate with inter-professional teams.
Serve as an educational resource and subject-matter expert for nursing division.
