Job summary

South Shore Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Clinical Professional Development Specialist to lead education for the Birthing & Mother Infant Unit. Qualifications

• BSN is required; MSN strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible nursing experience in the designated clinical services area.
• RN licensure with required certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC) as applicable.
• Professional certification and involvement in nursing education are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Education: identify knowledge gaps and develop/coordinate ongoing education programs for the nursing staff.
• Onboarding/Orientation: design individualized orientation and competency checklists.
• Competency Management: build and update competency framework for daily clinical practice.
• Clinical Inquiry/EBP: translate research into practice and mentor staff in evidence-based care.
• Collaborative Partnerships: work with leaders and academic programs to advance education.
• Mentorship: support career development plans and act as a role model.
• Leadership: lead educational programming and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
