South Shore Health is seeking a Clinical Professional Development Specialist to lead and educate the Nursing Division, focusing on onboarding, competency management, and evidence-based practice.

The role emphasizes mentorship, leadership, and collaboration with inter-professional teams to advance education and patient care quality. A BSN is required, with a Master's preferred, and 3–5 years of related nursing experience.

Qualifications

• BSN in Nursing is required.
• Master's degree strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible nursing experience preferred.
• RN licensure and required certifications (as applicable by division) may include BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC; instructor certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers educational programs for the nursing division and onboarding.
• Creates competency-based orientation checklists for nursing roles.
• Oversees competency frameworks and updates as healthcare needs change.
• Leads evidence-based practice initiatives and practice inquiries.
• Partners with inter-professional leaders to advance education and quality goals.
• Mentors staff and provides leadership in nursing education and policy development.
