Job summary

Jersey College in Tucson seeks an experienced nursing educator to join the Nursing Program faculty. The role involves preparing progress and grade reports, maintaining attendance, evaluating student competence, and supervising clinical experiences to ensure competency.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree with teaching discipline hours and a Master’s degree is preferred. Prior teaching experience is welcome but not required, and ongoing professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited school.
• Master degree is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in governance as required.
• Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education programs and in-service training.
• Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.
