Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher is required.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Preferred: prior nursing education or teaching experience; experience with clinical evaluation and competency-based education.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
