Job summary

Jersey College is seeking a Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students. The instructor supports learning, assesses performance, and guides students toward professional practice.

The ideal candidate is an RN with an MSN or higher, at least 3 years of RN experience, and a commitment to student success. Teaching experience and knowledge of nursing specialties are preferred; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a nursing specialty that contributes to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
