Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead nursing services in our facility, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care and regulatory compliance.

You will develop policies, supervise staff, manage admissions, and collaborate across departments with physicians and administrators to optimize resident well-being.

The role requires Michigan RN licensure, several years in long-term care and in management, plus strong leadership and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse.
• Two years of professional nursing in long-term care; at least three years in administration.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care management, budgeting, census development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure policies and protocols for nursing care and antibiotics are in place.
• Develop and maintain nursing policies aligned with standards and regulations.
• Communicate policies to staff and monitor adherence.
• Oversee admissions decisions and assess resident health status.
• Coordinate with Therapy and Pharmacy; supervise schedules.
• Lead infection control and quality assurance programs.
• Conduct staff rounds and performance evaluations.
• Prepare for surveys and assist in Plan of Correction responses.
• Promote teamwork, customer service, and resident rights.
