Apploi is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department, align with regulatory standards, and drive outcomes-based care. The role emphasizes staff leadership, policy implementation, and collaboration across disciplines to improve resident care and satisfaction.

The position requires extensive nursing administration experience, regulatory knowledge, and strong communication skills to manage staffing, training, and quality initiatives within a facility setting.

Formación

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state employed.
• BSN or Health Administration preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OBRA, Joint Commission and State Rules and Regulations.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Computer and word processing skills required.
• 2+ years’ clinical nursing experience in acute care setting.
• 2+ years’ experience in sub-acute and geriatrics setting preferred.
• 4+ years’ experience in nursing administration.
• English language proficiency; other languages helpful.
• Ability to relate to geriatric, informed and sub-acute population.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret and execute administrative, nursing and resident/patient care policies.
• Ensure compliance with government and accrediting agency standards and regulations pertaining to Nursing.
• Direct systems and programs within the department designed to meet regulatory standards.
• Assess, coordinate, plan and implement systems required to deliver high standard of care.
• Define, establish, implement and maintain standards of care; develop policies and procedures.
• Ensure all nursing personnel comply with written policies and procedures.
• Meet with staff regularly to plan clinical services, programs and activities.
• Make reports and recommendations to Administration regarding department activities.
• Establish interdisciplinary framework to coordinate nursing services.
• Review incident/accident reports; manage Master Staffing Plan.
• Establish qualifications and functions for each nursing position; collaborate with departments.
• Recommend standard supply levels and equipment purchases.
• Participate in QA/PI, Infection Control, Safety, Ethics, Leadership committees.
• Investigate reports of resident abuse and report findings.
• Participate in pre-admission screening for referrals.
• Oversee CMI data collection and submission to DOH.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies.
• Possibly determine death when necessary.
• Participate in QA/PI for continuous quality improvement.
• Identify areas for improvement in care delivery systems.
• Ensure nursing units are stocked with supplies for patient care.
• Ensure residents’ safety in accordance with safety program.
• Participate in employee health, safety, security, and compliance programs.
• Participate in mandatory in-service and training; oversee new hire mandatories.
• Ensure annual mandatories are conducted for all staff.
