Apploi is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department in a long-term care facility. The DON will supervise nursing staff, ensure compliant policies, and collaborate with administration to optimize resident well-being and care quality.

The role requires Michigan RN licensure, at least two years in long-term care and three years in administration, plus strong leadership and budgeting skills. Expect cross-department coordination and ongoing QA activities.

Qualificações

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is required, and a minimum of three years’ experience in nursing administration or a comparable management position.
• Must possess and demonstrate a high degree of leadership, organizational ability, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care management, policies, budgeting, personnel management, and census development is required.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure proper Policies, Procedures, and Protocols for care are in place to include the entire nursing process for antibiotics use and staff education.
• Develop, maintain, and implement nursing policies and procedures conforming to current standards and regulations.
• Communicate policies and monitor staff practices and implementation.
• Participate in admission decisions and assess health status.
• Lead daily/weekly management meetings discussing resident status, census changes and concerns.
• Evaluate staff performance and enforce disciplinary actions per policy.
• Oversee infection control program and QA activities; coordinate with physicians and consultants.
• Coordinate nursing services with Therapy and Pharmacy departments.
• Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and in-service education for nursing staff.
