Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Director of Nursing to guide the nursing department, ensuring high-quality, compliant resident care in a regulated setting. The role involves 24/7 supervision, staff development, and collaboration with administrators, physicians, and families to maintain standards and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or the equivalent in related work experience.
• Current, valid Texas State Nursing License as an RN, in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in nursing service administration.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal and local LTC regulations.
• Must be available to be on call 24 hours a day.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total resident care plans in line with physician orders and regulations.
• Oversee 24-hour nursing department supervision and staffing to meet resident needs.
• Develop and update nursing objectives, standards, procedures, and job descriptions for nursing personnel.
• Recruit, hire, orient, train and dismiss nursing staff as needed.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance across the facility.
