Job summary

Concho Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services, mentor staff, and shape the care experience for residents with compassion and clinical excellence.

You will ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines, manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance, develop individualized care plans with physicians, and secure timely access to equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• Holds a current RN license in good standing with the State of Texas.
• Proven leadership in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Strong clinical skills and restorative care approach.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Compliance: Oversee nursing services per guidelines.
• Lead the Team: Recruit, onboard, schedule, and manage staff.
• Support Direct Care: Step in on the floor to maintain quality.
• Review Payroll: Approve payroll submissions for accuracy.
• Maintain Records: Ensure resident documentation is accurate.
• Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians on individualized plans.
• Provide Resources: Ensure access to equipment and supplies.
• Coach and Mentor: Lead and support staff to improve outcomes.
