Job summary

Caprock Nursing is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and mentor our nursing team, ensuring compassionate, compliant, and clinically excellent resident care. You will oversee nursing services, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and payroll, develop individualized care plans with physicians, monitor records, and ensure access to equipment and supplies on site.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing with Texas.
• Proven leadership in long-term or geriatric care.
• Strong clinical skills and restorative approach.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all nursing services in accordance with guidelines.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance.
• Support direct care and assist on the floor when needed.
• Review payroll submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor resident records for accuracy and documentation.
• Develop individualized care plans with physicians.
• Provide resources and ensure supply availability.
• Coach and mentor nursing staff to improve outcomes.
