Job summary

Cross Healthcare Services seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department, ensuring RN licensure compliance and high-quality resident care in line with physician orders and regulatory standards.

You will manage staffing, training and performance, coordinating with administration to meet budget and quality targets. Strong leadership, communication, and regulatory knowledge are essential for on-site oversight and day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent required/preferred.
• Current Texas State Nursing License as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in nursing service administration or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to manage budgets and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing department operations to ensure quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, regulations, and facility policies.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop nursing staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Plan staffing to meet resident needs within budgetary constraints; manage schedules and payroll.
• Coordinate with Administrator and Medical Director to maintain care standards and safety.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and oversee incident reporting and responsive actions.
• Foster a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary teams.
