Engage Healthcare Ltd is seeking a Director Of Nursing for our skilled nursing facility in the United States. Must have nursing home experience.

You will lead the nursing department, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive outcomes-based care within an interdisciplinary framework. The role involves developing standards of care, coordinating with other departments, and participating in QA/PI programs to improve quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state employed.
• BSN preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OBRA, Joint Commission and State Rules and Regulations.
• Must be CPR/BLS certified.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience in acute care setting.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in nursing administration.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and execute administrative, nursing and resident/patient care policies.
• Ensure compliance with government and accrediting agency standards and regulations pertaining to Nursing.
• Direct systems and programs within the department designed to meet regulatory standards.
• Assess, coordinate, plan and implement systems to deliver high care standards.
• Define and maintain standards of care; develop policies and procedures to meet them.
• Ensure staff comply with written policies and procedures.
• Meet with staff to plan clinical services and identify improvement areas.
• Make reports and recommendations to Administration.
• Establish an interdisciplinary framework to coordinate nursing services.
• Review incident/accident reports and maintain staffing plans.
• Ensure qualifications for nursing positions and collaboration with other departments.
• Recommend standard supply levels and equipment purchases to the Administrator.
• Participate in QA/PI, Infection Control, Safety, Ethics, Leadership committees.
• Investigate resident abuse reports and report findings as appropriate.
• Participate in pre-admission screening for referrals.
• Oversee CMI data collection and DOH submission.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies.
• May determine death when necessary.
• Participate in QA/PI programs and ongoing quality improvement.
• Identify areas for improvement in care delivery systems.
• Ensure nursing units are supplied with necessary materials for patient care.
• Ensure resident safety in accordance with safety programs.
• Participate in employee health, safety, security, and compliance programs.
• Participate in mandatory in-service and job training programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
