Job summary

Reliant Management is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing to lead our clinical team and oversee the Nursing Service Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. You will plan, organize, develop, and direct all aspects of nursing operations, staffing, and quality assurance.

The role emphasizes leadership in planning, organization, evaluation, and fiscal management, with collaboration across the executive team to improve resident care and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of DON experience in a California Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Unrestricted RN license in the state of California.
• Must be able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, and train staff; plan, organize, and direct work; evaluate performance.
• Coordinate care plans and quality of life initiatives for residents.
• Assess prospective residents prior to admission, including home or hospital visits.
• Develop staffing plans to meet direct care needs and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure 24-hour nursing administration coverage and on-call arrangements.
• Audit clinical records for accuracy and adherence to care plans.
• Conduct quality assurance rounds and regulatory compliance activities.
• Lead interdisciplinary conferences to develop and update plans of care.
• Establish and enforce policies, procedures, CQI programs, and safety standards.
• Provide supervision of nursing, admissions, and continuing care functions.
• Set performance goals and lead fiscal planning for the department.
• Collaborate with executive management on home-wide goals and programs.
• Support resident quality of life initiatives and multidisciplinary projects.
