Job summary

Genesis in Orono, ME is seeking a Payroll and Labor Management Specialist to manage the nursing center's labor spend and payroll processing in accordance with established policies.

You will serve as the primary contact for scheduling, timekeeping and payroll, balance staffing with budget, and lead the Labor Management Team to optimize clinical, financial and human resource results while maintaining nursing staff coverage.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in healthcare or long-term care with a proven track record in scheduling, timekeeping, or payroll.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Psychology or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control the nursing center's labor spend and process payroll in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Serve as primary nursing center contact for scheduling, timekeeping and payroll.
• Balance nursing center staffing needs, employee schedule preferences, and nursing center financial performance.
• Use software to minimize overtime and nursing agency spend while ensuring HPPD and salary expense are within budget.
• Lead labor management team to optimize clinical, financial and HR operating results.
• Maintain nursing center staffing coverage at all times.
