Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Nursing Attendant for the Float Pool, part-time nights. Responsibilities include assisting with admissions, transfers, discharges, patient hygiene, meals, and safety under RN supervision.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA program (or 6 months relevant experience), and BLS/CPR certification. Excellent communication and customer service are essential as part of a compassionate health care team.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of nursing process by direct and indirect care.
• Maintain orderly and safe patient care environment.
• Assist with admission/transfer/discharge and patient orientation.
• Perform patient rounds for toileting, comfort, safety, and needs.
• Assist with basic hygiene, meals preparation, and feeding.
