Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Mineola, NY invites applications for a Nursing Attendant – Float Pool, Part-time, Nights. In this role you provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and help maintain a safe, orderly environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with admissions and transfers, rounds for safety and comfort, basic hygiene and meals, vital signs, linen changes, and patient transport.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Admission/Transfer/Discharge and orient patients.
• Conduct patient rounds for toileting, safety, comfort, and needs.
• Assemble O2 and suction setups; assist with basic treatments.
• Provide basic hygiene, meals prep, and feeding to patients.
• Record vitals, assist with linen changes, movement, and transport; report changes to RN.
