Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island seeks a Nursing Attendant for the Float Pool to join our part-time night team and support patient care under supervision. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with a range of needs across units.

The role requires a high school diploma and CNA training or at least 6 months of relevant experience, plus BLS/Heartsaver CPR certification. You will work closely with the care team to ensure compassionate, quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required at entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions/transfers/discharges and orient patients.
• Conduct patient rounds for toileting, comfort, safety, and needs.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Support nursing staff with hygiene, mobility, and basic treatments.
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities to the RN.
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and document care per policy.
