Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Mineola, NY, seeks a Nursing Attendant - Float Pool, Part-time, Evening shift. You will assist in patient care under supervision of RNs and help maintain a safe, clean, and compassionate environment.

The role involves admissions/transfers/discharges support, patient rounds, hygiene, feeding, basic treatments, vitals, and reporting changes to the RN. Must have HS diploma or CNA program completion and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS/Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry to the position.

Responsibilities

• Assists with Admission/Transfer/Discharge of patients and orients to the hospital environment.
• Conducts patient rounds for toileting, positioning, comfort, safety and personal needs.
• Assembles oxygen and suction setups as needed.
• Provides basic hygiene to patients and assist with meals.
• Supports RN with simple treatments and monitoring per care level.
