Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Health System, is hiring a Nursing Assistant I for the 7:00pm–7:30am night shift. You will support RNs and LPNs with direct patient care, vital signs, hygiene, and basic needs, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a busy orthopedics unit.

This role requires BCLS certification and the ability to stand for long periods; relocation assistance may be available based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• NA I position requiring direct patient care support and collaboration with RN/LPN teams.
• Includes recording vital signs, routine measurements, and data entry into EMR.
• BCLS certification must be maintained by end of orientation and is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for procedures and assist as required.
• Record patient data for medical records and inform RN/LPN of findings.
• administer basic care including hygiene, feeding, mobility and comfort measures as delegated.
