Select Specialty Hospital in St. Charles, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for a PRN Day or Night shift. Compensation is $22 per PRN hour with $1.50 night shift diff and $0.75 weekend diff. Sign-On Bonus: $1,500.

Responsibilities include patient bathing, rounds, transport, and maintaining clean rooms and equipment. Minimum qualifications: High school diploma/GED or 3+ years’ experience and BLS within 90 days. Preferred: hospital NA experience or NA certification.

• Bathing patients with basin-less products and providing oral hygiene and feeding assistance.
• Conduct hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers between stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; manage unit stock of supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
  
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
